Kingwood Speech and Debate is a place for everyone, regardless of public speaking ability. We have a long history of competitive success, and recently we’ve been building our community through in-school collaborations, such as hosting the Free Speech Social and serving as a moderator for the Interfaith Tables event.
Besides that, 8 of our students will be leaving this Wednesday to compete at the Texas Forensics Association (TFA) state tournament, a prestigious competition that requires exceptional success at regional tournaments to qualify for. Two of our students will compete later this month at UIL state, and some have the chance to place in the national competition at the national qualifying tournament in a few more weeks. It’s been a year of many challenges for us, but as we close out the year, we’re grateful for everything and excited to meet the officers who will lead the organization next year and continue a long-standing tradition of success, in and out of competitions.
