KIngwood’s NJROTC program placed second place overall last month in the Magnolia field meet. The field meets are some of the most anticipated ROTC events of the year with a large amount of cadets participating in a number of physical activities. Kingwood has always notoriously done well at Magnolia and this year was no exception.

The morning started off with a cross country event, in which Kingwood placed fourth, followed by four cadets participating in a challenging pt event, “Master Chief’s Madness”.

The rest of the meet was spent in the natatorium where Kingwood competed in a number of water-based events. Mara Bartholomew (10) and Robert Steinkamp (11) both got the best times for the survival swim and Kingwood managed to place first in most of the water events.

The meet was concluded with the annual tug-of-war competition and boat race in which Kingwood destroyed the competition and won first place for both events.
