KHS 2020-2021 Swim Season Continues to Break Records…

Tanner Monk, Swim Staff Writer

To start off October both JV and Varsity had the early bird meet. Later in the month, Varsity had the Greater Houston Dual meet, which was a 2 day meet. After that JV had 2 meets against Klein and Klein Oak. To end of the month Varsity had the Monster Dash Meet which was also Senior Night.

Many great things have happened this month including, breaking 3 AHS pool records and multiple verbal commitments to big colleges. The JV season has a little over a month left, with districts being on December 11 at Summer Creek Highschool. This season has been off to a great start and we hope to continue the great swims throughout the year.

The College Commitments Include:

Kylee Grafmiller – University of Alabama

Garret Green – Verbal Commitment to the University of Tennessee

Connor Little – Verbal Commitment to the University of Alabama

Beck Parnham – University of Arizona

Grayson Hamous – Verbal Commitment to Denver Univeristy

Our Varsity men’s team took down a combined 3 AHS pool records, including the 200 free relay with Connor Little, Luke Langley, Brendan Studdert, Garrett Green; and the 400 free relay with Connor Little, Brendan Studdert, Beck Parnham, Garrett Green. Garrett Green also broke the record for the 100 fly record!

This year has been a great start for swim, and we are excited to see more college commitments, records broken, and meets won as the year progresses.
