Announcing the 2020-2021 Kingwood Theatre Season

Sophia Hoffman, Co-Editor

In the past four years, the Kingwood theatre program has seen a lot of change.

From losing our school and stage to Hurricane Harvey in 2017 to an abrupt end to the 2020 season due to Covid-19, it seems that each year throws us a new exciting surprise. At the beginning of the year much was unknown about what the program would look like but under the amazing direction of our new directors Ms. Camee Faulk and Ms. Brittany Baugh, we are proud to announce that our mainstage shows for the 2020-2021 season will be The Wedding Singer, by Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy, and Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox! Puffs will be our Varsity show (performed in November) and The Wedding Singer will be our Musical (performed in January).

While Puffs is limited to students in Varsity, The Wedding Singer is an open audition available to all KHS students. For those interested, we will have audition workshops on Friday the 18th and Monday the 21st of September. For more information please reference  www.kingwoodtheatre.com or schedule a meeting with Ms. Faulk.  We would love to see you there!
