Tatum is a current junior at Kingwood High School and involved in NHS, Student Council, a Kingwood Fillies Officer, Fillies Elite Team, DECA, Young Life, and Addi’s Faith Foundation.

What does school spirit mean to you?


“To me, School spirit means representing your school through and through. It means partying at pep rally’s, screaming at football games, music on Fridays, and slapping that Kingwood Mustang on anything feasible! The spirit is what makes school exciting and worth attending. I also believe that school spirit truly bleeds from some of the best teachers and staff at KHS! I can’t imagine myself at any other school! So… as Mr. Knight says “Rub The Hoof”.”

Shifa Soban is a current junior involved in various activities throughout the school. She is looking forward to capturing the behind the scenes of students and getting more people involved within the community. Additionally, she runs the Humans of KHS page, inspired by Humans of New York on Instagram and the website.

Currently, she is the Kingwood Varsity Cheer Manager, Kingwood TAFE Historian, an active member in STUCO, Class Officer, and a National Educators Rising Ambassador. When not in school, Shifa spends most of her time through various volunteer events and spreading her school pride within Kingwood. She hopes to revive the Humans of KHS page and connect students throughout.
