Where do you feel most like yourself?
“I feel the most myself when I’m onstage. I’ve said that to people before and it always feels sort of ridiculous because I’m literally playing another person, but it’s the only time I feel free to express whatever it is I’m feeling. Audiences don’t judge you for being loud or overly emotional or moving freely. When I’m acting, I get to let everything out: it’s the one thing I always know how to do, and do well. I’m driven by a need to make people feel something, and I want to change people’s lives, even if it’s just for the two hour duration of a play. Being onstage allows me these things, and it truly is the one thing that makes me feel utterly fulfilled in my own unique way.”
