Rafael Aghayev is a senior at Kingwood High School and the current captain of the Varsity Basketball team as well as high jump for track. He also played basketball overseas.
What are you most passionate about and how does that impact you today?
“A vital lesson I learned during my years in kingwood is to be resilient. After I tore my ACL the end of sophomore year, I experienced a major setback to sports, but after grinding out 6 months of therapy and constant motivation from people around me, I got back and better than what I was. All that time spent was used as fuel for my growth as a person and as a student. Also a fun fact about me is that I can speak Russian fluently!”
