Provided by KHS Choir member.

Kingwood Choir’s Madrigal group performs.

Emily Moore, Co-Editor-in-Chief

As the holiday season gears into full swing, Kingwood High School fine arts students prepare December performances to spread holiday cheer throughout the community. Between choir, band, and orchestra events, Kingwood residents have plenty of opportunities to catch a bit of the cheer. See below for opportunities to attend orchestra, band, and choir concerts. All concerts will take place in the KHS auditorium unless otherwise stated.

December 1 at 7 p.m. – Orchestra

The orchestras will be performing holiday tunes as well as some previews of their spring performance pieces.

December 8 at 6 p.m. – Band

The concert will feature all four Kingwood band ensembles and a portion of it will include eighth grade musicians from Creekwood and Riverwood middle schools. The high school jazz band will also perform at this event.

December 2 at 7 p.m – Choir

The December 2nd concert is the choir’s general Christmas concert. Beyond this concert, Kingwood Choir plays a major role in the holiday festivities of the community, primarily through the Madrigals, their select mixed choir. The Madrigals perform at both public and private events. For a comprehensive list of Madrigals performances, visit the choir calendar here.
