The Future of Kingwood HOSA

March 16, 2020

As the Coronavirus continues to affect daily life, many organizations find themselves cancelling large events. National sports leagues and entertainment companies have already suspended large gatherings of people. Alongside these national occurrences, many active students at Kingwood High School have asked about the future of the HOSA competition season. However, as of now, the Texas HOSA Board of Directors has given no indication of postponing this year’s State Leadership Conference in April.

Scheduled for April 1-3rd, HOSA SLC is set to be in Galveston with Kingwood HOSA staying at the “haunted” Tremont House hotel. With SLC less than 20 days away, competitors find themselves in full gear preparing for their events. Even though the KHS campus is closed over the next few days, KHS HOSA will still have small study sessions at Coco, Starbucks, and Teahouse for our competitors. A Sign-Up genius has been created, where all state attendees can sign up for study times.

No matter what the future of HOSA has in store, Kingwood HOSA guarantees a safe and fun remainder of the year. The upcoming Leadership Seminar will be delayed, but all other events currently remain on-schedule.

If any members have any questions, feel free to contact your HOSA officers through our social media! Competitors, remember to study hard and stay healthy!
